Local Business Spotlight: The Bee's Teas

By Rachel Vega, The Bee's Teas December 24, 2019

Describe your business, what services do you offer?

The Bee’s Teas is a gourmet tea supplier.  We offer teas in a variety of flavors, perfect for every palate, and in a variety of sizes.  Overall, we strive to bring our customers the joy and comfort of a cup of tea.  Our teas are sure to help you experience this level of serenity.  We have a long-term goal, hopefully in 2020, of being able to offer “afternoon tea” and help members of the community host their very own tea party.  Whether it be for a big celebration or just to catch up with old friends, it’s always a good time to gather together over a hot, or iced, cup of tea.

What do you love about the work you do?

One of the best things about starting this business has been being able to meet new people and helping to contribute to our community.  We’ve met so many wonderful people throughout our events this year, and it has been great seeing them in the community and again at other events. We love seeing our loyal customers again and again, and listening to them share their love of our tea. Additionally, participating in pop up events have helped us to contribute to our local community.  We’ve been lucky to make donations through events, or raffle items to various groups such as veterans, schools, Girl Scouts, and organizations supporting cancer research, autism awareness and more.

What’s your ultimate mission with your business?

Ultimately, we see ourselves opening up a tea house in our community.  We have frequented a few in the New England area and we just love the atmosphere that they offer.  We feel a tea house is a great way to bring people together to not only enjoy the drink but to enjoy the company of those around them.  We cherish the times we get to spend with our friends and family so much that we would love the chance to provide others with a spot to gather and create new memories with their loved ones, additionally to celebrate some of those big milestones in life  (like birthdays, holidays, showers, and more).

What can we do to support you in the community?

We would love to get our name out there as much as possible!  Like us on Facebook and share our posts, follow us on Instagram, and visit our website (www.thebeesteasonline.com). We would love to reach as many people as we can to help build our communi-tea! If you love tea, we hope that you’ll love ours. Tea also makes the perfect gift for many occasions! Also, by supporting us, you can support other local businesses as well.  Our tea is currently being sold at Lanni Orchards in Lunenburg (another supporter of Macaroni Kid!), Bolton Orchards in Bolton, and The Tinker’s Cart, in Clinton.

Additionally, it is also being offered with services at Essential Therapies Day Spa in Bolton. We love shopping small and supporting businesses in our community.

How can your business make the holidays brighter?

We’d love to offer you that special gift for that special someone in your life who loves to drink tea.  Or, maybe you might need a gift for that hard to buy someone or even a gift for your holiday gift swap. Whatever the case may be, our selection of specialty teas will not disappoint.  Tea makes the perfect gift for many holidays and occasions (or simply just because).

What is something you're especially proud of?

We take pride in the fact that we took this idea of opening a tea house and have taken steps to move toward this goal, starting with branding our very own tea and making a name for ourselves in the community.    With the help and support of our close friends, family, community members and a special mentor, we are turning our dream into a reality.  We look forward to seeing where this venture takes us in the new decade.

What do you want other moms and parents to know about your business?

Make sure to follow us on social media if you’re not already!  We hope to start planning lots of great events in the future for The Bee’s Teas.  Now that we’re starting to become established, we’re looking to expand and begin hosting our very own ‘tea parties.’  We’ve got high hopes for planning some fun tea events just for kids in the community. Or, if you were hoping to host a tea party at your home, either for your child or for yourself, we’d love to help you plan that!  Just reach out!  We’ve got some fun ideas up our sleeve.

The Team at The Bee's Teas - Rachel, Armando & Kate - can be found at many local events in Central Massachusetts. We had the chance to learn about their Teas at Clinton's Olde Home Day over the summer, and again at the Vendor Fair at Ciccone Family Fitness - someone in our home is getting tea for Christmas (shhh, don't tell!). We look forward to watching The Bee's Teas grow and hope to partner with them on more events in the future!

The Bee’s Teas provides you with the flavor quality of loose leaf teas, in the convenience of pyramid-shaped sachets, free of strings and tags. Just steep and enjoy. The teas are currently available in 5 and 18 count tins, in a variety of flavors and types. They also offer seasonal sampler packs to add the perfect cup of tea to those crisp fall mornings or those cold winter nights.
