This is an uncertain time, and things seem to be changing by the day -- if not the hour -- with coronavirus and the reaction to it as health officials and the government try to slow its spread.
Community events are being canceled and I have marked them as such on the events calendar as I hear about them. But I always recommend verifying event details with the venue before you attend, and it is especially important to do so right now as many events in our area may be canceled with little to no notice.
Macaroni Kid Leominster-Clinton will update our calendar as we hear of cancellations. For instance, Home Depot and Lowe's have canceled their kids' workshops nationwide for the time being. Our local libraries are closed for the most part (check their Facebook page or website for details about curbside pick up). Local performances, group fitness classes, and storytimes have also been canceled.
Please watch the CDC, and the Massachusetts Department of Health for the latest news.
And, of course, please take care of yourselves and your family. This is an adjustment for all of us - it may be working remotely, adjusted incomes, limited social activity, absence of school structure - and each of us will experience this a little differently.
Please be sure to follow our Facebook and Instagram pages for some great sharing of ideas and local online activities to help keep your family entertained (and maybe even learn something new!). For example, on March 17, there are two fun storytimes available for viewing online:
March 17 at 10a 🗣 Virtual Shark Storytime and March 17 at 12p 🗣 LIVE Virtual Storytime with Pete the Cat!
