Registration is open for the next online driver education program with a LIVE instructor at Safe Roads Driving Academy of Fitchburg.
The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) is allowing live-instructor online driver education.
This Driver Education Program includes:
- 30 Hours of Classroom Training
- 12 Hours In-car Behind Wheel Training
- 6 Hours In-Car Observation*
- 2 Hour Parent Class
- Electronic Driviers Education Certificate
- Driver Education Manual
- Driver Education Classroom Binder
*RMV COVID-19 restrictions require parents to complete 6 hours of observations in addition to the required 40 hours of supervised driving.
Thanksgiving Dates: November 21, 22, 27, 28, 29 ~ 8:30a to 3:30p
Registration Cost $625. A $75 non-refundable registration deposit is required with the completed registration form. (Deposit is deducted from total program cost). Optional after-hours road test fee $80.
A learner's permit is not required to begin the classroom portion of Driver's Education. Students must be 15 years and 9 months in order to begin the classroom portion of Driver's Education. At age 16 students are eligible to receive a learner's permit, behind the wheel driving lessons, and observation sessions.
