Stay at one, play at two - they have everything you need!

Planning a vacation with your family (no matter how many kids you have) can be daunting. I get it, we haven't traveled on a plane with our kids yet - but learning about TradeWinds Island Resorts, I would definitely take the family here!
As I explored the resort with other Publisher Parents, we saw (and experienced!) so many fun things. I'm happy to share with you a few tips that would make your visit enjoyable with your entire family.

1. Our room was perfect for a family. Amenities like full bath with tub, a microwave, half-size fridge with freezer (much bigger than a mini-fridge!), kitchen sink, mini stove top, a dining table and sofa area with a tv were very convenient. The sleeping area, with two queens beds, was separated by the bathroom and a door - meaning the kids could go to bed early and you could still stay up and enjoy tv, quiet time, or sit on the balcony. A local grocery store is less than a mile away, or utilize a grocery delivery service to get anything you may want to cook in your room.

2.  Start your day with breakfast. I love variety for breakfast - so the breakfast buffet at the Palm Court (Island Grand Resort) was great. I was able to enjoy eggs, bacon, sausage, fruits and coffee. Plus they had pancakes, biscuits and gravy, an assortment of muffins and even oatmeal. The Palm Court restaurant has seating available inside and out in the courtyard - so even if you dine there more than once, you can change up the scenery. Don't forget - you stay at one, play at two resorts at TradeWinds Island Resorts, so check both properties for a variety of options.

3. Spend time at the at the beach and take advantage of your cabana! Pack what you have already, but also know you can stop at the Deli General Store or TradeWinds Adventure Center next to the family pool at TradeWinds Resort Island Grand, or the Gift Shop at RumFish Resort and pick up anything you may need. Beach toys, sunscreen, towels, bathing suits, coverups, hats, toys and games. If you go to the beach you can scan the QR code at your cabana to order food and beverages and have them delivered to you! Both resorts also have grab-and-go food options if you want to take something with you right away. And remember - St. Pete Beach has plenty of seashells, which makes a great activity for kids of all ages.

4. Bring a refillable water bottle. Use the complimentary Hydration Stations throughout the resorts to fill it.

5. Check the event schedule to see what's available when you stay. Some activities you can do any time, but others vary by day or weather, so check on those first. You may find the family pirate show, poolside bingo, stand up paddle boards, poolside crafts, or beach-side zip line would be fun for your family. Activities may require advance reservations, so sign up for those, too! Learn more about all the activities at TradeWinds Island Resorts.

6. Dine with the fish at RumFish Grill. Located at the RumFish Resort on St. Pete Beach Florida, RumFish Grill is home to a 33,500 gallon fish tank - and it's like nothing you've ever seen before! It sets a relaxing mood for dining and keeps everyone entertained. The aquarium was built as part of Animal Planet’s hit series, “Tanked.” Guests and visitors have the opportunity to snorkel in the tank among indigenous fish - so check for availability when you arrive. MacKID tip: Save room for dessert! To learn more about excursions and activities, check the TradeWinds Island Resorts website.

7. Have s'mores by the campfire every night! Alongside the beach near the Sand Bar at the RumFish Resort, you'll find a circle of Adirondack chairs, a campfire and the ingredients for your perfect s'more. We caught a few amazing sunsets at this spot, too.

8. Make time for yourself. If your partner or other adult traveling with you can take the kids for a bit - find another pool, Jacuzzi or secluded hammock to enjoy alone. It doesn't have to be for hours, even 30-minutes can make a difference! I'd recommend the Wahoo Pool at the RumFish Resort and the Jacuzzi next to it. Or, try the hammocks along the beach near the North Lawn at the Island Grand Resort. Don't want to sit still? Take a walk along the beach! Want some background music? Pick a hammock or comfy spot near the SandBar at the RumFish Resort, or family pool at TradeWinds Island Resorts.

TradeWinds Island Resorts makes it very easy to travel as a family. They have everything you need to stay busy - or unplug and just enjoy the scenery. It's the perfect resort to #JustLetGo.
